The intense presence of birds in both professional and domestic spaces causes significant problems. To begin with, large flocks of birds heavily and heavily soil outdoor areas and surfaces with droppings that can corrode both marble and metal surfaces.
At the same time, birds carry parasites of serious diseases such as:
- Salmonella bacterium
- E.Coli bacteria
Their impurities, when dehydrated, turn into dust which is carried by the air even into food and water. This can cause severe health problems (diarrhoeal syndrome, hemorrhagic colitis, urinary tract infection, etc.)
In Greece, the bird that causes the most problems is the pigeon. Pigeons tend to congregate in large numbers and this naturally leads to a large volume of droppings. When this volume turns to dust it becomes dangerous for anyone who inhales it.
To deal with pigeons, we can choose one of the following methods depending on the size of the problem and the space.
- Placing pins where they gather
- Placing threads on marquees, signs, etc
- Net installation more suitable for large spaces (balconies, skylights)
Depending on the space and the size of the problem, we choose the most effective method. In many cases, for optimal treatment, we combine some of the above options.
