Fleas

Fleas are quite annoying and dangerous pests. Its length varies between 1.5 – 3 millimeters. Their color is brown-red and their shape is wide. They are excellent jumpers thanks to the 3 sets of legs they have and can jump a distance of 20 to 35cm. Females can lay about 15-20 eggs per day and a total of 600 during their lifetime.

They mainly attack humans but also warm-blooded vertebrates such as dogs, cats, poultry, rabbits and mice. They select the specific hosts as they feed on blood.

Fleas are extremely dangerous as they are serious carriers of diseases such as typhus and bubonic plague.
